                    March 26, 2007

Kevin Underwood, County President, called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m., with dinner at the Four Seasons restaurant, and asked George Lumley for Invocations.

Guests for the evening were two Tippecanoe School Board members. President of the school board, Alan Kemper, first spoke about the boards mission and goals. We received information on the school district's growing student population, buildings, educational opportunities, athletics, transportation and cooperation with other county schools. Linda Day, the other board member present, spoke of new building construction and how the high schools are cooperating with Ivy Tech and Purdue and additional building, called Senior Centers, are in the plans. Interesting questions followed.

The board meeting was called to order about 8:30 and after corrections to the check register were added, Roger Verhey moved the minutes and check register be approved, Jerry Arvin seconded and the motion passed.

COMMODITY - Lloyd Leamon thanked all who helped with Ag Days. Jason Buck was asked about the grain markets.

MEMBERSHIP - Dale Workman asked Janice Deno for the latest report from the state. A list of prospective members had been passed out and she challenged all of us to try for 30% more members by the last of September.

WOMEN - Kathy Bennett, newly elected Woman Leader, talked about the Spring Seminar, April 12th , at the Trails. An interesting program is planed and reservations need to be made.

Kevin asked all committee chairs to complete their committee lists and have them to him early in April.
