County Farm Bureau President, Kevin Underwood, opened the 7:30 p.m. meeting asking all to stand for the Pledge To The American Flag and praying The Lord’s Prayer.

Three officers from the Harrison High School FFA Chapter along with their advisor, Nichole Parker, were our guests.  They each gave  reports of what their organization’s activities were during the past year.  Membership seems to be larger this year than the 35 members of last school year, three -fourths of the members are girls and one-fourth boys.  Projects are; collecting food for Food Finders; 30 members worked at different activities at the State Fair; several members worked at both the Beef and Pork tents at the County Fair; introduced 1st graders, of Burnett’s Creek, to agriculture; several attended both the State and National FFA Conventions; visited other FFA Chapter’s meetings; started their our plants at Harrison’s greenhouse; planted plants at Green Tree; many worked at Ag Days at the fairgrounds in March; brought animals to nursing homes and recycle.  Plans for the coming year include Trick or Treat for Cancer and with the National FFA Convention being in Indianapolis they hope all members will be able to attend.

At the conclusion of their presentation Kevin presented them with a check, from Farm Bureau, toward their many projects.
