Meeting Report
Kevin Underwood, County
President, called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. by
asking all to stand for the Pledge to The American Flag and
saying the Lord's Prayer in unison.
Kevin then introduced
guest speaker, Ron Heilman, State Director of America for
Fair Tax. This group is calling for the elimination of
federal income taxes and federal payroll withholding taxes
and replacing it with a national 23% sales tax, to be
collected at the cash register. The group feels we would
still have a state sales tax, but it would be less, with no
state income tax and no property tax. He left each of us a
lot of information.
Kevin then opened the
business part of the board meeting asking for approval of
the March minutes. Janet Kemper make a motion the minutes be
approved, Kenneth Miller seconded and the motion passed.
Larry Underwood made a motion to accept the check register,
Dave Korty seconded and that motion carried.
